MANDATORY ASSIGNMENT 08

In this mandatory assignment we were asked to go deep into the field of package design. We were asked to do branding, packaging and presentation of a dog food product. Over 4 weeks we were challenged to design a logo, create a brochure, design a package and in the end present it in a nicely. We were free to pick a name, no budget and no further guidelines for this task, which set us pretty open to what we could develop over the weeks. I picked information from lessons and learning videos on Lynda (see sources), and tried to use my own knowledge from earlier experience from when I was working on a vet clinic.

Interpretation of the task:

Week 1: Develop a name for a dog food product. Design a logo for
this product.

Week 2: Create an illustrated infographic and a brochure for your product.

Week 3: Design a package for your product, make a life size mock up and pho tograph it.

Week 4: Design a point of sale, photograph all the elements together, make a professional presentation and write the report.
