This mandatory assignment consisted of an information design with products selling the message that more people must cycle in the city of Bergen. The task was to design a website and a poster to deliver this message, as well as creating an informative map. The webdesign needed to interact in some way with the user.
I chose to solve this assignment through a process of research and in depth interest around the subject.
Make and design a website and poster for Bergen.
– What: Design a A3 Poster
– Why: Cycling is an environmental friendly economical and healthy alternative to car. More and more people are using bikes to get around the city.
– What: 4 different cycle routes available to everyone in Bergen. Needs to have info regarding: Distance, Time, Type of Road, Intersections.
– Must interact with user in some way on the website and show information about the routes. All information needed.
– Free to choose amount of info on Poster but all cycle routes need to be displayed.
– Products needs consistency + be adaptible.
Creative methods:
– Research, find information.
– Defining issue and problems/challenges.
– Gathering inspiration, sketching ideas.
– Brainstorming and inspiration, sketching.
– Analyzing ideas.
– Find expression: define style, colors, fonts, shapes.
– Analyze design, critical view.
– Adjust and complete.
